A Mother’s Love

Please join us on Sunday, February 15th at 2:00 PM for the next concert of Sundays at 2 Concerts at Chevy Chase Concert Series: A Mother’s Love. Soprano choral scholar Anissa Clay Zelaya, through a collage of musical styles, time periods, and languages, will share the many loves of a mother. A Mother’s Love ranges from the love of a partner, an expecting mother, as she holds her newborn baby, and finding love and hope through loss. The recital will feature art songs by Hageman, Obradors, Chausson, Strauss, selections from Libby Larson’s The Birth Project, as well as arias by Verdi and Puccini (and more!). A light reception will take place after the reception. All the concerts are free admission and welcome donations.
