Women of all ages at CCUMC enjoy fellowship while
learning and working together. Many meet in small
groups monthly for fellowship, to work on a project,
or study a specific topic like climate change or
Israeli-Palestinian relations. UMW programs are
mission-oriented.
Quarterly Programs
All women are invited to programs held every
quarter, often on Saturdays. Recent topics have
included human trafficking, our mission in Nicaragua,
hunger issues, and spirituality.
Small Group Meetings
There are three small groups within the UMW which usually meet monthly. One meets on weekday afternoons in members' homes, one meets in the evening for a meal and/or some kind of service project and one for women with young children meets at various times.
Caring Casseroles
Members of Hope Circle coordinate volunteers who
deliver homemade suppers to church members who
have new babies, been hospitalized, are bereaved or
facing some crisis in their families.
Christmas Bazaar and Rummage Sale
Proceeds from the two big annual fund-raisers of the
UMW are donated to local and international relief
and development programs.
