Music Ministry

      Cherubim Choir

This choir of young children, Pre-K (age 3 and 4) through first grade rehearses on Sunday mornings during their Sunday school class. Our goal is to reinforce and give the Bible verses and Sunday school themes a musical expression, as well as to instill a love of music in our young children. They participate in worship at both services on several occasions throughout the year and enjoy participating in our annual Christmas Pageant.

    Faith Chords

Our youth praise band rehearses on Sunday mornings from 10:20 to 11:00 a.m. This group, comprised entirely of young people from second grade and up, includes singers and musicians on guitar, violin, drums, etc. They join in leading worship once a month at the 9:20 a.m. contemporary service and periodically sing at the 10:40 a.m. traditional service.

    Faith Chords Xtreme

There are additional opportunities for youth in fifth grade and up to perform and lead worship as the group Faith Chords Xtreme. The emphasis in both Faith Chords and Faith Chords Xtreme is not on performing but on leading the congregation in worship.

Joy and Praise Team

The adult Joy and Praise Team of singers and musicians provides musical support and leadership at the contemporary worship service held at 9:20 on Sunday mornings. If you have an affinity for Christian praise music, we welcome you to join this high-voltage music team! The Joy and Praise Team rehearses on Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Liturgical Dancers

A dance group made up of all ages from first grade to adult rehearses and performs at special holiday services such as Palm Sunday and Christmas.

    Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir, Organist and Music Director provide the musical leadership for the traditional service (Sunday mornings at 10:40) and for special services throughout the year including Christmas Eve and Holy Week. Twice a year, the Sanctuary Choir presents a major choral work with chamber orchestra during the 10:40 a.m. service. Performances have included Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Mass in C, Bach’s Magnificat and the Fauré Requiem. Rehearsals for the Sanctuary Choir are on Thursday nights from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 9:45 - 10:40 a.m.
