CHERUBIM CHOIR — This is where it all begins! This choir of pre-schoolers through first grade reherses on Sunday mornings between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. This is the first opportunity for the little ones to participate in worship services, which they do at both at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. on several occasions throughout the year. Their featured presentation each year is at the Christmas Eve Family Service.

GOOD NEWS GANG — CCUMC youth in second through fifth grade comprise the membership of this choir, which rehearses on Sunday mornings from 10:30 - 10:45 a.m. They sing at both 9:30 and 11:00 worship services and have a large role in the Christmas Eve Family Service pageant. In addition, the Good News Gang prepares dramatic presentations for worship services.

SANCTUARY CHOIR — The Sanctuary Choir, Organist and Music Director provide the musical leadership at the Traditional Services including Sunday mornings at 11:00, and for special services through the year including Christmas Eve and Holy Week. Primarily a volunteer, parish ensemble, we are fortunate to have four splendid professional soloists on the staff. Twice a year the Sanctuary Choir, Soloists, and Organist present a major choral work with chamber orchestra during the 11:00 a.m. Service. Past performances have included Mendelssohn's Elijah, Handel's Messiah, Poulenc's Gloria and most recently Schubert's Mass in C Major. Rehearsals are on Thursday night from 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. and Sunday morning from 10:30 - 10:50am. Although we sing challenging repertoire, we also love to sing have a good time! Please join us.

JOY AND PRAISE — The Joy and Praise Team provides musical support and leadership at the 9:30 a.m. contemporary worship services on Sunday mornings. Led by Henry Rowe, the Contemporary Worship Leader at CCUMC, this is one high-voltage music team! If you have an affinity for Christian praise music and want to be considered for membership, please e-mail Henry Rowe at the address given below. Joy and Praise rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:45 - 7:45 p.m.

BELLES — An accomplished quartet of experienced players form this all-women's handbell ensemble. In addition to performing in services at CCUMC, the Belles are planning an active touring schedule. As part of the on-going music education ministry at CCUMC, members organize introduction sessions for young musicians on bell ringing technique and concepts. SUNDAY SAMPLER SERIES — Several short musical programs are presented in the sanctuary or chapel throughout the season with performers ranging from talented church members and friends to professional musicians who donate their time and talent for this musical outreach program. Free will donations are accepted at the door and are donated to local hunger relief agencies. Check the CCUMC website for calendar listings. We are always on the lookout for new talent; if you wish to be considered for a future performance, please contact CCUMC Music Director Jesse Parker.

CRITTENDEN OPERA — Opera is alive and well at CCUMC. Crittenden Opera runs a weekend opera program during the school year on weekends at CCUMC and an intensive opera workshop every summer. For more information visit their website: www.crittendenopera.com
