About Us

We have open hearts, open minds and open doors and we seek to witness to God’s love for the world through our programs and ministries in Chevy Chase, the greater Washington area, and across the globe.

• We have 3 worship services each week - 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. on Sundays, 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

• Our music programs include the Joy & Praise Team, Sanctuary Choir, and children's Cherubim Choir and Faith Chords.
• We have children's Sunday school, Sunday and weekday adult classes, and Disciple Bible Study.
• There are programs for seniors (PALS), United Methodist Women and others.
• We have a Preschool (ccumcpreschool.org), and sponsor a Cub Scout pack, and Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.
• We are home to two Narcotics Anonymous (NA) groups.
• We support Interfaith Works of Montgomery County, feeding programs for the homeless and Help the Homeless Walkathon.
• Our global ministries include a sister church in Nicaragua and support for missionaries in that country.

Founded in 1912, we are nearing our Centennial Anniversary, and are part of the United Methodist Church (www.umc.org) and the Baltimore-Washington Conference (www.bwcumc.org).
